Industry Day at the Range™ Announces First Shot with Omar “Crispy” Avila at 2022 Event

LAS VEGAS, N.V. – January 6, 2022 – Industry Day at the Range is proud to announce its First Shot to open the 2022 trade event. First Shot was created to provide one individual the honor of firing the first shot to kick off Industry Day at the Range and the official start of SHOT Show. This year, Industry Day at the Range welcomes U.S. Army veteran and Sons Of The Flag liaison Omar “Crispy” Avila, to fire the First Shot.

The Industry Day at the Range First Shot will be hosted by sponsor Silencer Central at bay SR-43. Avila will utilize a Savage Arms 110 PCS in 300 BLK complete with a Silencer Central Banish 30 suppressor to fire the opening shot. Industry Day at the Range will commemorate the event by donating $1,000 to Sons Of The Flag. Sons Of The Flag is a nonprofit organization dedicated and committed to supporting military and first responder burn survivors by providing funding for innovative research.

“Omar’s inspirational story of resilience and his dedication to helping other wounded warriors made him the perfect person to fire our opening shot at Industry Day,” said Kelsey Puryear, Industry Day at the Range Manager. “His enthusiasm for helping others and serving his fellow veterans is humbling, and we look forward to bringing his passion for life to this year’s attendees.”
