3 Reasons to Attend Industry Day at the Range

Industry Day at the Range is the most influential one-day trade event in the hunting and shooting sports industry. Plus, it’s the only range event officially associated with SHOT Show, and it’s sponsored by the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF). Held annually the day before the opening of SHOT Show, Industry Day at the Range brings together over 2,500 invited media members and  buyers to preview and test the latest products.

For those who have never attended, you may be thinking, “How is it different from SHOT Show?” We’re glad you asked. Here are the top three reasons why you and your company should consider exhibiting at Industry Day at the Range:

The Numbers Don't Lie

Industry Day at the Range continues to grow and exceed expectations with thousands in attendance each year. This one-day range event is the only place that media and buyers can see, touch and test the hottest new products from the biggest names in the industry.

Each year, over two-hundred manufacturers exhibit at Industry Day at the Range, giving our guests a truly exclusive opportunity to experience new products—before anyone else in the industry.

Plus, Industry Day at the Range garners hundreds of millions of digital impressions for sponsors and exhibitors, making this a high-value, high-impact advertising opportunity for both big and small brands alike. The numbers don’t lie—Industry Day at the Range is the place to be every January.

The Early Bird Gets the Worm

Sponsors and exhibitors begin to receive media coverage the moment Industry Day at the Range begins, and it continues during SHOT Show and throughout the year.

That means your brand and new products are generating buzz before the competition—and a full day before the influx of media coverage from SHOT Show starts pouring in.

Exhibiting manufacturers get a jump on their competition with early exposure to their most important accounts and have a chance to receive exclusive coverage from print, digital, broadcast and social media outlets.

Testing, Testing, 1, 2, 3

The one-day range event allows media and buyers to not only see products up close and personal, but it gives everyone in attendance a chance to handle, shoot and play with some of the most anticipated guns, gear and gadgets our industry has to offer.

Unlike SHOT Show, Industry Day at the Range gives invited media and buyers a unique opportunity to handle and use products—and actually put them through their paces. This makes all the difference in the firearms industry.

Media and buyers will come away from Industry Day at the Range being able to “sell” new products through firsthand experience. And on the flipside, your brand will have a leg up in so many ways.

What to Expect When You Attend

Industry Day at the Range always takes place the Monday before SHOT Show at the Boulder Rifle and Pistol Club. There are shooting lanes for all firearm types, tents for non-shooting companies and ample space for on and off-road vehicles and other product demonstrations. Industry Day at the Range is an invite-only event, and spaces always fill up quickly. Registration details can be found here.

Industry Day at the Range 2025 is set to take place on Monday, January 20. The day is split into two sessions: First, the range opens to invited media members who are welcome to stay the entire day. Next, registered buyers, dealers, distributors and retailers are invited to attend the afternoon session (which opens at 12 p.m.).

Are you a media member or buyer interested in attending? Media and buyer attendance at Industry Day at the Range is by invitation only from exhibiting companies.
